


I’m pretty pooped right now. Today’s #workout is a tad shorter than usual, but I was struggling. Upper body is still unsteady and scrawny. Blah. I’m just going to take my regular days off even though I only got in four workouts this week. I need the rest, so I’m taking it. I decided to try a little something new for today’s #workout. I’m feeling a little bleh… Anyway, I’m a little discouraged, but I’m pushing. I should give myself a little time to reset and not think that all of that good holiday food is just going to get out of my body ASAP, haha. I was inspired and wanted to really challenge myself today. My issue with Blogilates videos are my arms. Ugh…. I cannot hold myself up for knee tucks or planks. Anyways, I was thinking about my training routine (or workout routine), and I wondered if it would be different if I were to lift weights. Well, that’s a no-brainer. If I had access to any, I would’ve started a long time ago, but unfortunately, I do not. I am happy with how far I’ve come as of right now, and I’ve been doing everything with whatever I have at home. The results are pretty good. :) I usually don’t weigh myself, but I decided to step onto the scale today, and even though I haven’t changed anything besides more vigorous and serious workouts, I still lost weight…. I’m just going to let my body settle to its desired weight, and I’m assuming that my weight is just fluctuating throughout the day. I’m not really trying to gain or lose. Just listening to the body. :) Anyways, sorry for this long essay, haha. And my lower body has officially lost feeling. So sore right now! Anyways, I dove right into my #workout today. I started to do one video, but it was hurting me because it was too high intense after a HIIT day, so I just put on a different one. Oh, and I stretched for a few minutes afterwards. I can really feel my glutes, and its burning super bad. Aaaahhhhh…. Anyways, amazing workout today. I’m going to let my lower body rest. Second part of today’s #workout! Leg day! It started as a butt day, but I decided to do legs instead. Watching barre workouts are easy on the eyes, but one you actually do them, they give off a killer burn! Anyways, I did the low intense version of the cardio in the other leg video, and I couldn’t hold myself up with my noodle arms for one of the moves, so I just stayed on the ground. So, I felt pretty good sprinting today at school. MUCH better than running, in my opinion. The ab workout wasn’t easy. I sometimes think that the teachers torture us and think it’s easy because they don’t have to do it themselves, haha. I wish that they would get the names of the exercises correct. Ahhhhh… Sorry for ranting. Anyways, I pushed through my butt #workout today. :) I wanted to do HIIT, but I was sore from the sprints, so I decided to do something less intense. We’re, apparently, going through boot camp for the next 6-12 weeks in PE, so I better welcome the soreness. I didn’t really feel anything really working until the fourth video in, and I threw in a few workouts that rarely ever do and a new one. I don’t want to jump to conclusions and say that I’ve hit a plateau, so I’ll just carry on. Anyways, my legs aren’t as toned as they were 5-6 weeks ago, but that’s alright. I pushed myself to make gains, and now my feet hurt from all of those calf raises, haha. That Victoria Secret Workout from @Blogilates involved a lot squats, which I don’t mind, but I did feel the burn! I did a few @karenakatrina #ToneItUp videos, and I’m glad I tossed them into the mix. They really shocked my muscles a bit, and guys, that BURN! Anyways, I’m thinking of switching up my routine slightly, like do kickboxing on my HIIT day. Maybe that’ll take the edge off of the same ‘ol videos over and over again. I feel like my thighs are a little more defined than my calves, so I need to do some exercise for them. Today’s #workout: I really felt my legs tightening up during the HIIT routine, and they’re getting stronger! :) I haven’t done pilates in forever, so that video was difficult for me. And that Tone It Up video wasn’t too bad. I need to switch up my routine because I haven’t been feeling anything working. Long #workout because I did HIIT and abs, but I’m so happy to be back! Being a week since I’ve worked out, I have lost some muscle mass, but I’ll make it back. :) My calves have been unbelievably sore, even when I began this workout, but I pushed through it and it eased the pain a little bit. I even wore some Salonpas patches on calves, haha. I’m feeling as motivated as ever, so I felt pretty good. I may have lost some endurance and strength, but that’s fine considering the rest week. #Workout: Abs and obliques! But mostly abs, haha. I’ve been lacking on my meals again, and it hasn’t been benefiting me. I really need to get back to it and get it all in check. My glutes are so sore, so I was aching throughout the whole day, haha. For sure, it was those lunges, squats, and whatnot from the day before. Anyways, I ran a mile in school today for PE, and running is not my thing. If you guys have been following me for while, you probably know that already. I think I did better than I’ve ever done before, but I could’ve tried just a tad bit harder. Yeah, I am totally not a runner. I’m usually better on the field or court, haha. Definitely killed today’s #workout! My endurance hasn’t slowed down at all! It’s all in the mind, guys. :) I was going to go for 20 more minutes to make my strength training routine come to a total of one hour, but then I’d be overworking myself, and I didn’t want to do that. I had to go straight to the shower afterwards because I felt very “sticky”, haha. I’m very happy with my performance in that HIIT routine though. I was struggling the first time I did it, but this second time, I’m stronger and pushed myself. I was actually inspired by the USWNT today via Tumblr. Not a bad way to motivate yourself, I do say so myself, haha. Anyways, what a great start to the week. Along with a lot of people, I dread Mondays, but let’s do it tomorrow.
